Born and raised in India, Shrina has always been passionate about helping others. After immigrating to the United States, Shrina pursued a career in counseling, earning a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, DC campus. Shrina is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi languages.
Shrina enjoys working with adolescents and adults.  She has extensive experience working with individuals who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. Shrina specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Narrative Therapy.

What your first two sessions look like.

The hardest part of starting therapy is often the not-knowing — what gets asked, how fast it moves, how much you have to say in the first hour. Here's the actual sequence, in order, so you can walk in with the full picture.

 A warm, no-pressure call to share what's bringing you here and ask anything you want. No commitment to continue.

Not mandatory, you can also schedule an intake directly.

Intake 

We talk through what's bringing you in now, the patterns you want to change, and the context that shaped them — family, culture, history, what's worked, what hasn't. There's no deep trauma processing in this session. The goal is for us both to see your situation clearly enough to plan well.

Weekly sessions where you slowly feel lighter, more grounded, and more like yourself. You're never doing this alone.

Most major Maryland insurance — and out of network.

We're in-network with CareFirst BCBS, Optum/UHC, Kaiser, Quest Behavioral, and four Maryland Medicaid plans. If your insurance isn't on our list, we work on private-pay or superbills for PPO out-of-network reimbursement. We verify your benefits before session one — no billing surprises.
